IDEAL: INCLUSIVE DIGITAL EDUCATION FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE LEARNING
Facilitate the educative learning process of people with
an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in non-accessible situations
(confinement, rural areas, isolation, convalescence, etc.)
WHAT WE DO
The objective of this project is to facilitate access to digital technologies to autistic people (special age cohort in transition to adult life) with lower cognitive levels, tackling a digital divide already existing and aggravated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its confinement.
OUR GOALS
The project is based on four operational objectives
To adapt a tool following accessibility requirements for autistic people users
(adaptation from the cognitive approach: educational tool / platform of free software
and open source).
To design educational / training methodologies and online content adapted to autistic people (with lower cognitive levels) needs.
To train and build on capacities, teachers and educators; autistic people and their families in the use of digital tools.
To provide the necessary resources to the autistic people and their families.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- Learning Management System (LMS) following accessibility requirements for autistic students.
- Evaluation of different digital tools according to their usefulness for autistic students following a person-centered approach.
- Delivery of a methodology for digital training
