During the sessions held on Monday, October 14, and Wednesday, October 16, the University of Burgos (UBU) introduced innovative European projects in both the Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy and the Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education and Society, with a focus on integrating new technologies. These presentations took place as part of the ErasmusDays week, celebrated from October 14 to 19.
October 14 – Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy
In the context of the courses “Labor Integration” and “Communication Resources and User Adaptation”, a group of 30 students attended a presentation on various technological applications and resources aimed at improving labor integration and communication with individuals with disabilities. The response was highly positive, with great interest shown in these innovative tools, especially those designed to support employment adaptation and accessibility.
October 16 – Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education and Society
On Wednesday, in the courses “Quality of Life and Services for People with Disabilities” and “Education in Values for an Inclusive School”, a smaller group of 12 students had the opportunity to delve deeper into European research projects. Concrete examples were presented, demonstrating how different research techniques—studied in the methods courses—can be applied. Additionally, other European projects developed by UBU were showcased.
During the session, practical resources were provided to facilitate the search for technological applications that can improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, their families, and professionals working in the field.
Innovation and Commitment to Inclusion
In both sessions, students expressed significant interest, particularly as they were previously unaware of the impact these European projects have in improving the lives of individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals supporting them. The introduction to new technological tools and their potential to transform lives was highly appreciated by the attendees.
Through these projects, the University of Burgos reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and the promotion of technological solutions applied to the field of disability, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and its practical application.
