IDEAL: INCLUSIVE DIGITAL EDUCATION FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE LEARNING

Provide more accessible digital tools for people on the autism spectrum and their support networks.

WHAT WE DO

IDEAL will provide a platform in 6 European languages with accessible digital tools (such as Apps and other digital resources) for autistic people, their support networks and professionals. Communication, education, social skills, health management, functional skills and entertainment are some of the core areas of the platform.

Accessibility

Ensure the platform is accessible for all autistic users 

Inclusivity

Provide training (tutorials, guides) for autistic people with higher support needs to access digital tools.

Support

Support educators, teachers, VET trainers, therapists and other professionals of the autism sector in their use and access to digital tools.

Empowerment

Develop a useful information resource for autistic people and their families to learn and choose the digital tools best suited to them.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Universidad de Burgos is a public university with an international approach. One of its missions is to become a scientific driving force through research and knowledge-sharing, contributing to social, economic and cultural development.

Fundación Miradas is a national organisation created in 2013 by Autismo Burgos (Spain) that provides support for the legal capacity and defence of the rights of autistic people and their families, focusing also on improving their quality of life.

Autism-Europe is an international association whose main objective is to advance the rights of autistic people and to help them improve their quality of life. AE also strives for more awareness and understanding of autism in society.

The Fondacija hiljadu želja (Thousand Wishes Foundation) was established in 2018 by a group of family members of autistic people. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established to pursue general welfare goals, improve social and health protection, improve the position of persons with disabilities, care for children, young people and the elderly.

The Federação Portuguesa de Autismo is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation for people with disabilities registered under the Portuguese law that includes 13 parent associations all over the country (mainland Portugal as well as Madeira and Azores). FPDA was founded in 2003.

Tady to mám rád gathers parents, siblings and friends of autistic people.The goal of this project is to strengthen social cohesion in the territory of the Brno metropolitan area and to increase the availability of social quality and related services in the South Moravian Region for people on the autism spectrum.
