Possibility to contribute by adding new apps
Among the challenges faced by autistic students include inaccessible digital tools, inadequate professional skills, unsuitable methodologies, and limited technological resources. IDEAL plans to launch a Learning Management System (LMS) to be accessible and engaging for users with cognitive issues. It will adapt to individual needs, empowering educators to tailor the platform. Given the overwhelming array of digital tools for autism, the platform will also incorporate a functionality to recommend the best tools for different areas of life for autistic people based on holistic evaluations, incorporating usability and personal competence metrics.
Digital technologies have become essential in the education and therapeutic support for autistic people. However, the sheer number of available applications can make it challenging to select the most effective and accessible tools. To tackle this issue, the IDEAL project has developed a standardized assessment tool for evaluating digital applications designed to support autistic individuals, their caregivers, educators, and professionals.
This document outlines a methodology for assessing the relevance, accessibility, usability, and effectiveness of digital resources aimed at autism intervention. It provides a systematic framework to determine whether applications meet the needs of autistic users and the professionals who support them.
This resource will help you get the most out of our platform, designed to support autistic individuals, their families, and professionals. IDEAL Connect offers a unique way to foster independent learning and personal growth.
